Our 3 Hour Trial Introductory Flight Experience is an ideal way to discover the joy of flight, learn more about aviation, and what it takes to become a pilot.
This offer will be delivered in one of our two-seater trainer aircraft as well as our full motion Redbird flight simulator.
Aircraft flight time will be deemed as DUAL when you make your first entry into a Pilot’s Logbook- included in this package.
Features of this Package includes. THE FIRST DAY
1 Hour of both classroom and practical based theory.
3 Hour of flight in aircraft.
1 Hour in flight simulator.
Begin your flight training experience by meeting with your nominated RAAus/GA flight instructor, who will introduce you to some classroom-based aviation theory.
Together you will proceed to our full motion Redbird flight simulator, accompanied by your instructor. You're the captain and where you fly is up to you, it can be as thrilling and challenging as you make it. Would you like to fly a difficult route to Queenstown NZ in a snowstorm or perhaps a scenic descent into a Great Barrier Reef sunset? There's a whole world of options, and the choice is yours.
Once you have landed (simulator), take a short break before proceeding to the next flight! Your instructor will show you how to inspect the surfaces, controls, and instruments before the engine is started. After take-off, and once you are in the Training Area, your Instructor will help you fly the aircraft. Throughout your flight you will orbit Western Port Bay above French Island and view the coastline from 1,500 feet taking in some spectacular sights!
The next two flights will include Basic flight maneuvers
Highlights of this Package include
Start-up procedure - Following the checklist to initiate engine start up.
Radio Communication - Communicate with other pilots in the area.
Taxiing - Movement of the Aircraft on ground from the parking bay to the runway in use.
Take–off & Climbing - You and your instructor will take off from the active runway and climb to the assigned altitude.
Departure - Depart Tooradin Airfield circuit pattern via one of the assigned outbound VFR points.
Straight and level - Once you arrive at the training area you will get to practice various flight sequences related to Recreational Pilot Certificate (RPC) training. Returning to Tooradin Airfield - You and your instructor will fly the aircraft to one of the inbound reporting points, broadcast joining circuit pattern.
Landing - Your instructor will set up the aircraft on approach for landing and demonstrate a landing.
Anyone with an interest in aviation is bound to enjoy this Trial Introductory Flight Experience. It's a great way to determine whether a pilot training course is right for you! The three hours flight training is logged towards any future training.

1. Redeeming Your Voucher
To redeem your voucher, please visit our online website www.flyamber.com.au/my-booking or email your request to info@amberaviation.com.au
2. Booking Changes and Cancellations
Please request all booking changes or cancellations by email to info@amberaviation.com.au with your invoice/order number, desired flight date and time, recipient's weight and contact details as well as emergency contact details.
Once you have made a booking and it has been confirmed by email, cancellation charges may apply if you are unable to attend.
Administration Fee for Rescheduling or Cancellations
An administration fee of $45.00 will be charged for booking changes where there is greater than 1 day to the confirmed date.
Changes within 1 day of the confirmed date will be subject to a $75.00 administration fee.
If you miss your Flight Experience and you have not changed the booking at least 24 hours prior, your Voucher will be cancelled without refund.
If for reasons outside of our control (weather, availability etc.) we need to cancel the experience, we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule. There is no compensation applicable for any cancellation. Refunds are only applicable by flight credits and at the operator's discretion.
If the duration of your Flight Experience is reduced because of any of your actions, including but not limited to, your late arrival, your request for a toilet break, sickness or any physical restriction you experience during the session, you will not be entitled to any compensation or a refund.
3. Vouchers
Vouchers are valid for 3 months from date of purchase for all our promotions.
Vouchers can only be extended for a period of 1 month with a fee of $75.00 (must be done within 7 days of original expiry date).
Vouchers are non-redeemable for cash and are non-refundable.
4. Restrictions
Age

Scenic and charter flight operations: There is no age limit, however, very young children may not be comfortable wearing adult sized headsets required for communication during the flight.

TIF: Our recommended minimum age for a Trial Introductory Flight is 14 years of age as Students cannot fly their First Solo Flight until they are 15. There is no maximum age.

SIM: There is no age limit for our simulator flight experience.
Weight

Scenic and charter flight operations: the maximum weight is subject to the total weight of passengers and luggage on the day, an additional charge may occur if we need to fly in a larger aeroplane than the originally assigned one.

TIF: Maximum weight for the flight experience in the 2-seater trainer aircraft is 85 Kg. If this limit is exceeded, an additional charge of $45.00 will apply.

SIM: There is no weight limit for our simulator flight experience.
Medical Conditions and Special Needs
If you have any medical conditions such as heart disease, epilepsy, diabetes, behaviour/mental disorders, etc. that might jeopardise the flight operation, we may need a letter from your GP to prove fitness for the flight. (Simulator experience is not included).

5. Security
For security purposes you must present a form of photo identification with your Voucher before you will be granted entry to the Aircraft. Entry to the Flight Experience will not be granted if you do not produce appropriate photo identification, in which case your Voucher will be cancelled and you will receive no refund.
6. Session Length
Session lengths are only an indication of the time you will be at the venue. At most venues you will take turns with members of the public and waiting time may be involved.
7. Dress code
Casual comfortable clothes, including proper fitted footwear (No work boots, sandals, thongs, slippers, or high heels please).
A note for women, pants apparel is easier for climbing in and out of aircraft in, rather than skirts or dresses.
8. Other Information
Flights are conducted subject to weather and operational status. Due to weather or operational requirements the Company duly reserves the right to cancel any flight at its sole discretion.
This 3-hour Flight Experience – one hour in SIM, three hours in Aircraft and one hour ground theory.
Total Experience time of Five Hours.
